CM suggests KP’s governance system for Fata

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said the extension of the province’s current system of governance to Fata belt was the best solution to the development of tribal areas as local dwellers were familiar with the system. DAWN   

“We can’t afford any new experience,” he told a delegation of Unhcr headed by Neil Buhne, Humanitarian Coordinator, United Nation Resident Coordinator here on Thursday, according to an official statement. Daily Mashriq

FATA Reforms Bill to be approved soon

 Mardan: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that they have taken people of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) into confidence about reforms in their areas and soon the reforms’ bill will be approved by the Parliament. The Frontier Post

He, however, said that majority population of tribal areas was in favor of merger of FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Daily Aaj
